Movement for Actors

Actors who move? Help your students gain the confidence necessary to do well in a dance call. Working from pedestrian vocabulary and building the knowledge of basic steps which are often required in auditions. Students will learn tips for picking up choreography and style quickly as well as learn to showcase their current skills.

Becoming a Triple Threat

This workshop focuses on incorporating the three aspects of musical theatre by integrating vocals, acting, and choreography. Class can be customized by age and level of student as well as time allotted.

NEXT! Preparing for the Audition

This class is a minimum 2.5 hours and focuses on preparation for auditions. Resumes and headshots are covered as is how to slate, mark your music, choose material, and how to emotionally handle the process.It is recommended that this include individual feedback on material previously prepared by the student for auditions.

Jazz Technique

This intensive class focuses on the technique of jazz dance. Encompassing a center warm up followed by progressions across the floor, this class ends with turn work and a combination customized to your students' needs.

Broadway Tap

Rhythm tap is a wonderful skill, but if you want to tackle Broadway, you are going to need to learn theatre tap. Focusing on the whole dancer, Broadway tap is a 60 minute class teaching technique and style ending in a brief combination to showcase those dancing feet.

Theatre Dance

This class focuses specifically on dancing and is designed to expand students' ability to take on style. Warm up and across the floor begin the work. Dancers will then learn a combination featuring original Broadway choreography. Fosse technique, Susan Stroman, and Tommy Tune amongst others are options for this intensive, intermediate to advanced level class.
