First Rate Talent in Missouri

Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri is ranked 6th in the country for theatre, but it is home to the absolutely first rate Summer Theatre Institute. A first time guest artist to the program, I was thrilled to see the outstanding talent and professionalism being taught to these remarkable students. Under the direction of Trent Rash and Artistic Director Timuchin Aker, the 20 performers completely staged an evening of musical theatre that brought the audience to their feet. From learning how to shake like Tina Turner in Beehive, to tapping like a Broadway ingenue in Dames at Sea, these gifted performers showed me they have the talent, work ethic, and tenacity to take their dreams to the next level. Keep an eye out for these Stephens triple threats in years to come. I know we will see them on stages in New York very soon!
